This time of year is always a crazy time its after Christmas, New years everyone is either quitting their jobs or starting new ones or going back to school or just starting starting school for the first time and it’s just so exhausting sometimes you just need 5 minutes to yourself, it’s actually quite important to do that everyday, just to take time out of your busy time and just relax
So here are my 5 ways to relax


1.Take a seat and drink a beverage
I find that whether is drinking a herbal tea or a green tea or even a hot chocolate calms and relaxes me, I always prefer to sit outside and sip some tea but either way it’s better to take the time, sit on the couch or any type of chair and relax

2. Meditate

There’s no need to go away for a retreat for days and day all you need is 5 minutes. All you need to do is find a comfortable spot in a quiet place, whether it’s in your bedroom, bathroom or even your car and just concentrate on your breathing, and feel those anxieties start to disappear. Sometimes I find listening to meditation music
I’ve always found the sound of rain relaxes me here one of my favourites also now this isn’t for everyone but ASMR
has helped me relax. It can send you tingles, help you relax and fall asleep (I don’t advise you listen to it in the car)

3. Squeeze a Stress Ball

Those days where you just want to strangle a coworker, your BFF, or the driver in the next lane on the freeway, squeeze a stress ball instead. It’s an easy, portable, and non-violent way to relieve tension. Plus it can be fun as well

4. Exercise

There are many ways to exercise that can help you relax
Stretch – Standing up for a quick stretch can relieve muscle tension and help us relax during a stressful workday . Why not try a shoulder roll-out or a chest-opening stretch, it only takes a minute and it does wonders
Go for a Run – Although it would be nice, but we can’t run away from stress, but it’s worth practicing. Try going for a run, even just running on the spot for a few minutes to get those endorphins flowing. Even just a few minutes of physical activity can help beat stress.
Take a Quick Walk – When you’re feeling overwhelmed or having trouble concentrating, go for a quick stroll around the block. You’ll get the benefits of alone time, physical activity, and a few minutes to gather your thoughts!

5. Write it all down.

Grab a journal and write it all down, its good to get all that stress off your chest, I have a journal where I write down anything and everything, I been getting into bullet journalling, I’m not the best at it, but I do enjoy it
