Binge-watching, also called binge-viewing, is the practice of watching television for longer time spans than usual, usually of a single television show.
A few weeks ago Australia FINALLY got Netflix *happy dance* I was so excited I had to sign up right away, I also have Presto, which is like Netfix but the Aussie version with different content.
Now I’ve been glued to my computer and ipad watching watching TV and Movies all day. I know it’s not healthy, but I can’t help myself.
The shows I’m currently obsessed with are….
These shows are on Presto
Wentworth
Wentworth is set in modern-day Australia and focuses on Bea Smith when she first enters prison after being charged with the attempted murder of her husband. Bea is separated from her daughter and sent to Wentworth on remand, where she lives in “an uncertain limbo” until she is sentenced. Bea is then forced to learn how the prison works.
Everybody Loves Raymond
Everybody Loves Raymond revolves around the life of Italian-American Raymond Barone, a sportswriter for a newspaper living with his wife and three kids in New York.
Sex and The City
Four beautiful female New Yorkers gossip about their love lives (at times it’s non existent) and find new ways to deal with being a woman in the 90s.
There are so many great shows to watch, but they are the shows I am Binge-watching on at the moment.
These shows are on Netflix
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmit
“A woman is rescued from a doomsday cult and starts life over again in New York City. If you like 30 Rock I recommend watching this.”
I’m only a few episodes into the season but so far so good.
Orange Is The New Black
“She show evolves around Piper Chapman, a woman in her thirties who is sentenced to fifteen months in prison after being convicted of a decade-old crime of transporting money for her drug-dealing girlfriend.”
I’m only on season 2 at the moment, but my gosh I am hooked. I heard so many people in America talking about how awesome this show was, so when netflix came out I had to watch it, to be honest I didn’t get hooked until about episode 3-4 but it’s a good show I’d recommend it, also I found out that Jenji Kohan created this show (she also created Weeds) so that was another reason why I had to check it out. Both shows have similar types of humour (same with 30 Rock and Unbreakabe Kimmy Schmidt, well cos Tina Fey created both shows)
What shows do you like to binge now? Do you have any recommendations?
Until next time.
