My goals for 2017

my-goals-for-2017

First of all, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a lovely start to 2017. Can’t believe it’s already 2017.

Every year I always make a list of goals I want to achieve in the new year like everyone else I try and not break them but 90% I break them.

This year I want to change that. I wanted to challenge myself but also make my goals realistic otherwise I won’t ever be bothered achieving them because they are too hard. So here is my list of goals I want to achieve for 2017

  1. Get fit

This is something that has been haunting me for many many years, I’ve always been a big girl the fat girl whatever you want to call it. I’ve always had issues with my weight. I have a love/hate relationship with food.  I keep saying to myself this year will be my year but of course it never does. But this year I’m making a change. I don’t have a goal just yet (e.g I must lose 30 kilos by March) I just want to cut out bad foods and cut out soft drink.  So Instead of having large meals, I’ll have a smaller portion size and drink only water.

I also have a fitbit which is really helpful because I shows me how many steps I do in a day and how well I sleep at night

  1. Get myself a full time job

I’ve been working part time for the past 5 years now. The place I work  at is great and it pays well. But sadly as I’m now older I don’t get as many hours because I’m old and what I earn each week sadly doesn’t pay for a lot of things these days and because of that I still live at home at the age of 25.

I’ve been looking for a while for another job but people won’t hire you for reasons a, b and c which is really annoying because I have 5 years of retail experience but for some reason won’t even look at you.

So now I have to find another job which is full time or look for a 2nd job

  1. Move out of home

As I mentioned before I still live at home but I feel now I’m ready to move out, I want to, I NEED to move out. But I can’t afford it on my salary which is a real shame and that’s why I need a second job.

  1. Buy my first car

I’ve been on my P’s (Probationary Licence) for 2 years now; In December of this year (when I’m 26) I’ll become a full licenced driver.

At this moment I’m currently driving my Dad’s car which is a great car for me to drive in but at the end of the day It’s not my car, I really need my own car, but again I need more money in order to pay for it all

  1. Be happy and have more fun

I think this is the most important well. Of course every single goal on this list is important but first of all I need to be happy. For those who have been reading my blog from the start you would know that 2015 was the worst year of my life and 2016 was slightly better still adjusting to my mum and going through the first birthdays, Christmases without her was challenging, I missed her so much, I wasn’t happy, now and then I’m not happy, I could go into a depression and can’t do anything because of my anxiety, but this year I want to be more happier and go out and have fun and meet new people even though I’m very shy.

So there you have it my goals for 2017, I hope that I do achieve these goals or at least start on them or be close to completing the goal.

What are your New Year resolutions / goals for 2017?

Until next time x
